Hello again guys!
I'm waiting anxiously for the concert, but October is still far away from now.
I'm wondering if is possible to see Guano at a big summer festival here in Portugal? What do you think? Is it possible yet? They are looking for some gigs and dates?
There are so many good festivals here: Alive, SBSR, Sudoeste, Paredes, Marés Vivas. I'm sure there are an opportunity to GA there.
I am considering to travel to another country this summer to go to another gig!

hi there. It will be hard to see the Apes in Portugal this summer.
They played Marés Vivas last year and the lineup is now officially closed.
There aren't many slots available in Alive nor SBSR. Paredes has been going a different direction in the past years and I don't see them doing Sudoeste neither.
Hopefully I'm wrong!
Would definitely love to see them playing a major festival in PTG (i have mentioned to some I think it would be vital for them in order to have people in the coliseums).

Are you considering to travel to see another concert?

Hello everyone!
Who went to Lisbon gig? I did and it was awesome. My last Guano Apes gig it happened long time ago I missed a lot GA. They were really good on stage but I think you all know that
Curious thing: they played last song (LOTB) with carnival masks. It was really cool. There is a picture on facebook. Go check it!
In my opinion there was a bad thing in gig: the sound. it wasn't good enough for me... I don't know why but there was something bad on it.
I'm really happy now and I'm going to tomorrow's gig in Porto. Where is the party tomorrow after gig?
What do you think about last gig? There was a party after? Somebody got a picture/signature?
happy greetings guys!

There you go, I speak Portuguese from Brazil so there were some words that I knew the meaning in Portguese, but I didn't knew how to translate it. So I adapted it to brazilian portuguese and then to English. Hope you enjoy it.
Underneath a cloud made of smoke and guitars playing some decibels louder than what WHO recommends, the Guano Apes arrive, finally, for the portuguese fans that were waiting for this concert since last year when the concerts in Lisboa and Porto were postponed due to muscular leson on Sandra Nasic's leg.
With all the looks she has been showing, the singer appeard in Lisboa blonde, and full of the energey that about 20 years ago made the Guano Apes the thing that rock needed. 'Quietly', 'Oh What a Night' and 'You Can't Stop Me' marked the first minutes of the concert untill the singer was thanking the fans for their support, wishing a good night and giving an adrenaline injecion anouncing 'Open Your Eyes'.
The fans that went to the Coliseu are the ones that started listnening to the band on their nu metal phase that, analising the new album, "Bel Air", is giving place to a less alternative and heavy rock. But this, I'm sure, is only what the album transmites. If some fans turned their back to Guano Apes after the pause they decided to make on their musical career, there's only one recomendation: go see them live. There's nothing to do. The metal escence is there, the energy of the first years too and the glasses of beer flying around the Colesiu make sure that the Guano Apes still rock.
The setlist is followed by more songs of the new record: 'Sunday Lover', 'Fire In Your Eyes' and 'She's a Killer', but with some other songs like 'Pretty in Scarlett'. Before 'Tiger' they explain about the song and tell us that the Guano apes have some "creative storm" when they decide to change instruments, so, the bassist can be the guitarrist and we never know what the drummer can be if he decides not to use the drumsticks. «Portugal is very special for us» the germans say, many times, to keep the hands in the air.
'All I Wanna Do', 'When The Ships Arrive', 'Fanman' and 'This Time' point to the ending. The encore starts with the lights pointing only to Henning Rümenapp, Stefan Ude e Dennis Poschwatta. 'Staring At The Sun' and the applauded cover of the 1988 song from Alphaville, 'Big in Japan', are part of the encore. Before they say goodbye th eGuano Apes enjoy the Carnaval to wear some costumes. Superman and a ''nun'' enter the stage, Nasic was more simplier, wearing a mask. All the fun leaded to 'Lords of The Boards', from 1997, when the band was at their peak. The theme was used as the official anthem of the snowboard world championship, that took place on Austria, in 1998. Curiously, the audience, made of young people, seems to remember about it when the band is almost living the Coliseu and keep singing the song.
